Game Time!

The New ALTO committee is having a meeting as I type to begin putting together the New ALTO. The articles are great and we can't wait to share them with all the brother and sisters. The New ALTO will be up November 15 at 12:00AM!

Relief!

When the joint chapters at Texas State University took over as the host chapter to the New ALTO, I was worried whether or not we would get articles for the Fall 2011 Edition. The previous host chapter, the joint chapters at the University of Texas at Austin, had warned me that the most important thing for us to do is to advertise ourselves.

So I took what we were told and tried to advertise to the best of our abilities. So far people seem to like what our school has to offer. I'm very fortunate to have the Brothers and Sisters who are helping with the New ALTO. Thank you! Also thank you to all the Brothers and Sisters that have submitted articles! We'll see how the finish product will look on November 15th.

Guidelines for Your Article Submission!

Brothers and Sisters of the Southwest District,

I hope that everyone in your chapter had a great, relaxing, and profitable summer as well as a great start to the new semester. We, the Brothers and Sisters at Texas State University are starting to meet up and plan out what we hope to be the best academic year of the New ALTO. If you and/or your chapter would like to keep up with any news, you can follow our Facebook (the New ALTO) and Twitter (@TxStNewALTO) pages, as well as our new updated New ALTO website. We would also like to remind you that are themes for the semester are the following:

·       History & Tradition

·       Sustainability and Membership Retention

·       Joint Relations

·       Music Within Your Organization.

·       Kaleidoscope (Miscellaneous Section)

If you are interested in submitting an article or have a question for the Fall 2011 edition, the deadline is October 18, 2011 by 11:59 PM. You can submit your articles via email at txstnewalto@gmail.com. We ask that you save your article as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or docx). If your article contains photos please attach them as a jpeg to your email. As soon as we have received your article, you will receive a confirmation email for your submission. We look forward to reading your articles!
